Selling
When do I get paid?
We're here to guide you through the process of getting paid for items you sell on ifndautoparts. Ensuring a smooth and secure transaction is our priority, and to facilitate this, we've partnered with leading payment processors PayPal and Stripe.
Connecting Your Payment Processor
Before listing an item for sale, you'll need to connect a payment processor to your ifndautoparts account. We currently support PayPal and Stripe, offering you the flexibility to choose the service that best fits your needs.
Setting Up Your Payment Connection
Choosing your preferred payment processor is a simple process. Please note that you can select either PayPal or Stripe, but not both. For detailed instructions on setting up your account, follow the links provided below:
These guides will walk you through each step of the connection process, ensuring your account is ready to receive payments as soon as you start selling.
Payment Schedule Overview
The release of your sales proceeds is subject to several considerations, including the delivery status of the item and your choice of payment method and provider. Each payment provider, including Stripe and PayPal, has its own protocols for holding and releasing funds, typically contingent on successful transaction verification and the resolution of any potential disputes or chargebacks. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, we recommend directly consulting your selected payment provider's terms and guidelines.
Stripe's Payment Protocol
Stripe temporarily retains payment funds, typically for up to 7 days, to conduct transaction verification and ensure the absence of issues like chargebacks or disputes. This holding period ensures a secure transaction for both parties. Should the purchased item be delivered or collected ahead of this timeframe, Stripe may release the funds sooner, facilitating a smoother transaction flow.
PayPal's Payment Handling
PayPal, funds are kept in a pending state within the seller's account until confirmation of the order's successful delivery or collection is received. It's important to note that PayPal's policy allows for fund holding for a maximum duration of 21 days, providing a safeguard while ensuring transactions are concluded satisfactorily.
Payment Notifications
After a buyer completes a purchase and the payment is processed, you'll receive a notification from ifndautoparts confirming the transaction. This notification will be sent to your email and appear in your account.
Managing Payment Disputes or Issues
While rare, payment disputes or issues can arise. In such cases, it's crucial to address the situation promptly by communicating with your payment provider to resolve the matter efficiently.
Maintaining clear and open communication with your buyers is essential for a smooth payment process. Ensure timely shipping of items once orders are placed to foster trust and satisfaction.
